Covid-19's effected on the world

We all have seen how this year has been so different then what we have planned but we have all made it through this year but something hasn't. Business, families and many more. Lots of small businesses  suffered this past year with having to deal withCOVID-19. According to https://fortune.com/ 100,000 business has permanently shut down. Meaning that they won't recover and will shut down forever. In this piece we will be looking at what else covid has affected.

We all have one thing in common: it's all that we have a family. Whether it's big or small, or if you have siblings, or if you are an only child. You will always have one. At one point where covid was at the top of the hill. We couldn't always go see our loved ones and for some of us that was very hard. But it was for the better and not risk their health. For teens this can be very hard not seeing your friends and just seeing your same family. This has led to depression and anxiety rates going up in the past year.

Jobs got very hard to find and many people lost their jobs over this time. 690 million people are on the downwards slope to poverty and this number can get  higher quickly. With all of these jobs closing they don't need all these workers, so they fire them and leave them to try to find a job during this worldwide pandemic. Finding a new job is already hard but with the whole world shutting down it’seven harder.

Finally the whole world was basically shut down. It left a ton of people bored and wondering what to do? They make huge purchases to help take up time. This can include boats/jet skis or phones/laptops. So sense these sales spiked the prices went up and some of them became rare to find. Wake Boat sales went up 20% during 2020 and jet ski sales went up 8%. Also just Wisconsin in general went up 9% in boat sales. “Sales of boats, marine products and services across the country leaped to a 13-year high in 2020 to $47 billion, increasing 9% from the prior year, according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association.” This shows that out of every hot summer and every family getting together covid made people buy the most boats.

Overall you can see covid affected many people and businesses and that it might have been good for some people like people to sell boats! But it also can mean business went out of business and suffered. Hopefully this will be over soon and everything can go back to normal. But some businesses are long gone from reopening.
